Use this page to learn about options for making payment to Tulane University from a non-US bank. Funds must be received by Tulane in U.S. dollars, but we do offer third-party vendor solutions detailed below to streamline the currency exchange and transfer process if desired.
Important
Payments should not exceed the amount of university billed charges. Payments made to student accounts by check, electronic check (ACH), credit card, wire transfer, Western Union, Flywire, or TransferMate in excess of billed charges cannot be disbursed to the student but will be returned to the originator.
Ensure your payment reaches us by the due date. Please be sure to initiate your international payment well in advance of your billing statement due date to ensure proper posting by the statement deadline to avoid finance charges.
International Payment Options
Tulane University offers three options for international payment of university charges: TransferMate and Convera are integrated into the student accounts portal and can be accessed by using the Make Payment button. Flywire is also available through direct access. Each of these vendors offer excellent foreign exchange rates, allowing you to pay in your home currency (in many cases) and save a significant amount of money, as compared to traditional bank wires. In addition, the posting of your payment into your University account will be faster, you will be able to track where your payment is in the transfer process, and you will be notified when it is deposited into your University account.
To access our integrated cross-border payment options and make a payment, first access your student account:
- Students: Log in to Gibson Online and then click View Online Account on the billing tab
- Authorized Users: Log in to your authorized user account here.
After log in, click the "Make Payment" button, determine the amount to pay and "Add" it to the total, then "Continue" to payment options:
- To use TransferMate, select Other Payment Methods option: "TransferMate INTL"
- To use Convera, select Other Payment Methods option: "Bank Wire"
An additional option is available through direct access outside of our portal:
- To use Flywire, access their payment page directly.
Tulane Graduate Direct, operated by Shorelight
For masters students in our Tulane Graduate Direct program, please be advised of these important payment requirements.
- In your first year of attendance:
- Payment of tuition, fees, and health insurance premiums must be paid directly to the Graduate Direct Program, operated by Shorelight - https://tulanegraduatedirect.flywire.com.
Important: Use this payment portal only for your first year of attendance, and only for payment of tuition, fees, and any health insurance premium billed to you by the program operator.
- Payment of dormitory rent, dining plans, and any other miscellaneous billing, must be paid directly to Tulane using any of the payment methods available in Tulane's student accounts portal, or alternative options described on our Payment Options webpage.
Important: Do not use the Graduate Direct payment method provided by Shorelight to make payment for these items.
- Payment of tuition, fees, and health insurance premiums must be paid directly to the Graduate Direct Program, operated by Shorelight - https://tulanegraduatedirect.flywire.com.
- In your second year of attendance and beyond:
- Payment of tuition, fees, health insurance premium, dormitory rent, dining plans, and any other miscellaneous billing, must be paid directly to Tulane using the payment methods available in Tulane's student accounts portal, or alternative options described on our Payment Options webpage.
Important: All payments you make, beginning with your second year of attendance, will be made directly to Tulane University.

Traditional Bank Wire Payment
